Volkswagen AG has allowed the official deadline (November 3, 2026, 12:00 midnight) for obtaining a retroactive license for the system architecture—which was incorporated into the 'Group Target Picture' without authorization—to pass without action.

The state of unlicensed use within the continental economic area (Nice Class 35) is now fully established. Procedural follow-up measures have been initiated.
